Tweaked Tuesday

This is now my weekly Photoshop posting as Photoshop Phriday is already used on another site and I wanna avoid a lawsuit at all costs. At any rate, enjoy these things.

Veird Vednesdays

Evening kids, new edition of Weird Wednesdays coming your way. After the jump is a video of an intro for "The Simpsons" as directed by British graffiti artist and director Banksy, which has to be the darkest and saddest intro ever to be shown ever.

Movie-a-Minute - VERY brief summaries of the movies often in a comedic fashion but are pretty dead on. Especially with "Speed", "The Sixth Sense" and "The Matrix."

Reinventing The Most Popular Ballpoint Pen - Ever wonder what a bunch a guys, five dollars and a lot of boredom bring? This crap.

Homemade Spacecraft - Although already seen by probably millions, still awesome, weird and note worthy. A guy made an apparatus to put a camera in, attach a weather balloon and launch it up into the blackness of space in HD.

Coming Soon... SPIRALISM

Not long ago I had the notion of starting up a podcast based on the idea of enlightening while being entertaining while also broadening the perspective of those involved and listeners by having on people with different points of view, maybe TOO different. Err... sorry, accidentally got possessed by Barbara Walters at the end for a second. Anyways, this idea is coming to fruition very soon as in... today. We're recording our first episode.with adult performer Sara Jay, and if you're interest falls off after that then you're clearly not open minded enough to listen to the show since this show will be laced with clever dick jokes in between intellectual and philosophical quips. Plus the conversation to take place probably won't be surrounded by sex talk (speculative until recording.) But be sure to check it out.

Additionally, HIRE ME!

Photoshop Phriday - First Layer

Here's the first installment to Photoshop Phriday where I post up something I've drummed up in Photoshop. Sadly I received no challenges for this one but here's a couple to test the waters and try it out. These are also either new or unreleased work of mine.

Desperate Putz For Hire!

Good evening folks, Sketch reporting here and this post is pretty simple, in fact I can sum it up in one sentence.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WILL SOMEONE FUCKING HIRE ME?!?!

I'd end it there but that's pretty vague. Basically the job I have has went from suck to being on the borderland of desperation where knocking over a bank doesn't sound like a half bad idea. (I'm probably already on a watch list for Googling it several times for movie research. Sorry, "movie research.") I've been looking and looking and trying to offer my services out there for those interested so I'm using this as an option to because in New Hampshire, where I live, the things I'm offering don't really have such a high demand as I live in what could readily be described as the backwoods of Bumblefuck. Which is not to be confused with the next J.K. Rowling book, "Harry Potter and the Backwoods of Bumblefuck."
So in an effort to help expand I'm putting this up so hopefully I may get some scratch and not resort to chronic alcoholism. By the way, where is the mentality come from that all poor people drink? I don't drink because I'm poor, they're just alcoholics and happen to go broke after the fact 'cause drinking is an expensive habit. All I'm saying.

Bursting Radiance - Review on Linkin Park's "A Thousand Suns"

Howdy kids, it's your favorite -- ah, screw it, let's just jump on into it. I'll start right off the bat by saying this review will have very mixed opinions in it, however I feel as a fan I must throw my two cents out there. A mere couple weeks ago Linkin Park released a brand new album dubbed "A Thousand Suns" using the springboard of their single "The Catalyst."

Right off the bat this album is drastically different than their previous work on "Hybrid Theory", "Reanimation", "Meteora" and "Minutes To Midnight," sadly some may not see this as a good thing. Even with "Minutes To Midnight", although it was very experimental and more eclectic in it's nature partly brought on by producer Rick Rubin who also produced this album as well, it still had the sound and vibe of Linkin Park if not on the whole album then on a select handful of tracks. With "A Thousand Suns" there are less examples of the old LP however in further exploration of the album it is really the next logical step.

Weird Wednesdays - The Quickening

Greetings again for our third installment on our WW segment, sorry for missing out on last week had a lot of crap to do very quick before seeing Mushroomhead in Portland. Quick capsule review on that: fucking awesome. ON WITH THE LINKS!

Bioshock Fishtank Case Mod - A guy submerged his motherboard in a fish tank with a big daddy and it works... WHAT?

Michelle Rodriguez' "Citizen Jane" - A trailer for an upcoming movie to be released on the 70th anniversary of "Citizen Kane" with a version of that movie that apparently is going to be like that but full of violence and really shitty CG. It's a minute and a half of, "WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH?"

Additionally if anyone has any suggestions or challenges for my first Photoshop Phriday let me know.

When The Hell Was "Facebook" A Verb? - Review on "The Social Network"

Seriously, when was this period I missed out on? Not because I regret not being in on it but because that's one of the dumbest thing's I've heard, "Facebook me." Oh well, Twitter's got the latest hold on having their website's name as a verb. Good thing about "Twittering" someone is that inside you're probably chuckling a little. (Perv.)
Anywho, I've just come back from seeing David Fincher's latest cinematic capsule known as "The Social Network", or to the snarky "Facebook: The Movie." I'll admit I being a Fincher fan and a general roamer of the internet when discovering this film thought, "Seriously? This has to be a joke." Then as time went by that dwindled up to the trailer's debut and it changed to, "Now I gotta see this movie." And I'm sure many people who still were iffy after that and saw it ate their own words, I can only hope so. For those who don't know of this project, it centers around the creators of the popular social network site (Get the title now?) Facebook and how success tore their friendship apart featuring Jesse Eisenberg (The Michael Cera that can act) as the founder and public wanker number one Mark Zuckerberg, Andrew Garfield as the CFO Eduardo Saverin who got screwed harder than a Thai hooker, and Justin Timberlake as huge blowhard Napster founder Sean Parker.
